Maybe I'm not using the correct search terms on here (and other forums)....so any guidance is appreciated...

I'm in the market for new tie rods, and I'm really liking SPL's pillow ball outers with Z32 inners.

I have been told there are modifications needed to run "pillow ball" (correct term?) outers...but I can't find any info on exactly what needs done...

Any info would be great...thanks in advance!

There is nothing needed to install SPL's setup. If you buy the ends and inners from them they are plug and play. I have had them for about 2 months :D

I haven't had any complaints yet. I went from busted stock rod ends/inners to these so my before and after is a little skewed. I absolutely love these things :D

I think I'm sold on almost SPL's entire catalog...quality (haven't heard a bad word yet), and that sexy stealth black color...although I may give into my bling side and go chrome...

a few more questions...

I've never actually seen a Z32 inner...and my S13 boots are in good shape, is it worth spend $40 for a set of boots to go from my S13 rack to my Z32 inner rods?

What about their FLCA's? Worth the $700? Weight savings? Strength?

If the stock boots aren't ripped, then you might as well just reuse them.

I'd suggest you hold off on flca's.

They are cool because you can mess with track width, but your lower arms are the first thing that goes most of the time during a crash of some sort.

So I'd rather bend/break a control arm that can be had for cheap/free than destroy an aftermarket one and possibly damage my subframe.

Now on the other hand, I suggest getting all the other rear links that he sells, along with the tension rods.

Good news on the boots, wasn't sure if the Z32's were that much thicker that i couldn't use my OEM-style boots...

The boots/bushings on my OEM LCA's are beat, but instead of spending $700 on SPL's, I think I'm gonna go with PDM's upgraded units. They come with Whiteline bushings and new joints...for about $285...I haven't been able to find the bushings by themselves.

Do I have to use SPL Z32 inner tie rods or can I use any Z32 rod? $79 is kinda pricey for a set of rods I can get at a parts store for $30.

their Z32 inners are OEM parts. It says that right on the site. If you can get the same part cheaper someplace else then go for it. Pretty much all of my suspension is SPL, couldn't be any happier.

yeah...I misread, it says their "inners" can only be used with their "outers"...somehow I flipped those two around...my bad
