OK, so maybe this has already been answered but I can't seem to find it. Is there any known fix for the problem where the digital display turns on when the car is started and then goes off in a couple seconds, I figure its some sort of of power source problem/ some other shit......anyone know how to fix this ?????

i am still trying to figure that one out. there is one article on here where someone fixed that by using the power source from a japanese unit. im going to try fixing mine by playing with that one red wire thats bolted to the unit. it could be something as simple as a bad connection. take it apart and look for any burned pieces on the CB.

I have already searched this is no the same as the thing with the capacitor......Believe me when I say that I have searched

look at the connector for the smaller board. The connector might be old and loose just solder it again.

check the picture with the red square usually it is right there

you can just try to connect the whole unit and push on that board to see if it light up again to see if it is the problem
