i was going 50 on one of the roads near my house when i heard a loud banging sound.( sounded like something hit my car) all of a sudden my car would not rev over 3000 rpms. i drove it home and inspected the car. i noticed that the 02 sensor plug fell and touched the turbo manifold and melted. i quickly cut it off and spliced it back on. i turn on the car again and ried to rev it. the car stalled. i then checked my maf and i noticed that the maf was cracked. luckly i had a n62 maf at home so i swapped that in today. i just turn on the car and noticed that the car runs really good but it would not rev past 2500 rpm. what could be the problem? any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

Don't you need a tune if you change your maf for a n62?
I'm not completely sure on this, so don't take my word for it.

Did you make sure your maf connections are all clean?

Still sounds like a maf issue...double check the wiring and your setting.

all the wires have been reconnected and all connectors re checked. could the car be in limp mode?

2500 wall is almost always a MAF issue

Pull codes from ECU, MAF is Probably bad

same problem happened to me a while after I swap my engine. I even switched out the ecu and maf but they weren't the problem...

try check the wiring make they're not loose and all are giving out what they're supposed to. :)

Which SR do you have?

S14/S15 sr's are 2in/5out FYI

Regardless its definitely a MAF related issue. Wiring 99% of the time what the issue is so I would double check your wiring. Also check voltages while your at it.

alright today i disconnected battery for about 5 minutes pushed the brake in to drain the remaning battery power. when i restarted the car the safc II show me that the air flow is at 100% with the 300zx maf after i redid the wiring. anyideas? im thinking i got a bad n62 maf.
oh yea sleepy i got a black top s13. i think its 6 out.

alright reversed the 12v and signal its reading 16% but the car will not start without me giving some gas and as soon as it starts it stalls out.
