They spin the opposite direction.
Might make mounting a little harder. iunno maybe not.

would it still be ok if it spun the other direction??

why would it matter if it spun the other way air is going through and spun a different way not like its going to push back into the motor..

I'm sure that the efficiency would be effected due to the way the fins in the turbo are angled. somebody correct me if i'm wrong.

try it and tell us what happens, because i don't really think anyone has done it on this site, be the first to try and make sure you do a writeup :o

You need to do some research into the design of turbines.
The turbo's fins are designed to revolve a certain way, either clockwise or ccw for efficiency. Its not just merely about getting air through. Its all in the engineering and physics to why it is the way it is.

ARE YOU GUYS ALL SERIOUS?????? who would like to try to explain How the FUCK you get a turbo to spin backwards.. turbos will only ever spin one way when being turned by the exhaust gasses, no matter what engine they are attached to. I dunno WTF you guys are smoking but it must be good

If he's making a manifold it's not gonna fucking matter.

a turbo is a turbo is a turbo

I was just thinking of it being closer to the bmc, but if you're making a manifold it doesn't matter.
I think they are rated at like 340hp at 15psi.

its funny hearing people talk shit that makes no sense at all.make a proper flange and it will work.good luck man and let us know how it works.by the way i believe it was the older evo turbo's that were reverse scroll.

oh yeah that's what i'm thinkin of.
lol making the turbo spin backwards. It will work just fine, just the piping is probably gonna be an issue for the intercooler and turbo outlet. Should be interesting looking.

If you have all the time and skills to make your own manifold im pretty sure you can just buy another turbo.

so when does time and skill equal the money for my new turbo? Turbo is free, my time is free, my skills...pricelss
