Hi
I bought some nice SSR wheel this winter but the previous owner have the stupid idea to paint them white.... when the original colour is super black coat.
Now I would like to remove the white paint and go back with the original colour??
Do you have any tips to give me?
Ps: I have tried thinner. Some people, on other forums told me to try gas.
I did a search and I saw some poeple using an aircraft stuff??
Thanks

yeah dont use Aircraft Stipper cuz it will remove ALL the paint down to bare metal. Acetone might do it but the paint might be beat up underneath.

just paint them back to black it will be so much easier.

lacquer thinner and a fine scoth brite rated around 1200-1600. After that you can buff it up to get the shine back if you didnt take enough original material off.

The original finish should be powdercoat, way more durable than paint. I'd use a light thinner or stripper on the backside of the wheel to test it's damage potential first.
