Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has gone and added any extra support to the rear end? ie. welded in frame support ect.. I'm talking about those of you who are drifting 500hp+ cars, there has got to be more then just putting a strut brace in the rear end.. If your taking a corner while sliding, you must be pulling a G at least maybe 2, maybe more in some cases... with the unibody, I'm afraid of the fex and wondering if anyone has done anything maybe I can learn from to strenghen up the rear.

Second question is, my buddy has some 18x10 rims with 225/40's on em, said I could use em for a season or at least until he found a buyer. Would these be safe to drift on? Or are the tires to streached and I risk killing myself lol.

Thanks for any help.
PS. sorry if these are noob questions.

If you're talking about running those higher power levels there is absolutely no reason to stretch a 225 on a 10" wide wheel. Though I'm sure some people would still try to make you believe there are merits to doing so.

Mine has a piece of square tubing welded in with some extra weld on the seams, I also have the lower control arm bar. I have nowhere near that much power nor do I drift but these are just some ideas.

^Exactly. And when you do, have them weld in extra support around the strut towers.

Most don't have 500+ cars, maybe one.

Let alone actually drift it.

Good luck. Lots of people just box their shit, or weld the fuck out of the seams.
