Or this?

Can someone tell me what this is? It blew off the top of the bellhousing.

I need a fix quick, so I'm looking for a complete trans, or just a bellhousing. any help or advise would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JJ

I think you are correct, Longrain. I was in the process of a 1st and 2nd gear burnout when it happened. I just got the car not too long ago, so I'm not sure what she had been put through before I got my hands on her.

any s13/14 bellhousing should work . s14 will bolt on s13 you will have to drill a spot for the sensor

looks like that thing was heated a lot... and a lot of times. Got weak - cracked and chucked part of it out.

From his description and the damage. I would say he was doing a burnout in 1st and went to grab 2nd and the tires hooked up grenading the pressure plate.
I know a guy with pressure plate shrapnel permanently installed in his leg from this.

Nothing came through the tunnel, it all went straight up, luckily... and I shut it down right away and haven't fired her up since. Fingers are crossed for no engine damage.... :dead:
Btw: I need repair parts. Anyone have anything I can use?
It's a stock KA24DE in '95 S14.
Thanks!

I was bouncing off of the red line in second gear. When I started to come off of it a bit to grab some traction she shit the bed. BANG!
I know one thing.... I much prefer the aroma of blistered tires to the stench of burnt clutch.

JB Weld and Zip Tie Stitches.... lolz
MIGHT be able to swap bell housing if the gears are still good.
Might wanna invest in a Scatter Shield too haha

what brand clutch?

Small revival.
I had the same thing happen...kinda. Previous owner installed a clutch "made in Korea"...so im guessing it was generic, and the pressure plate shattered like yours in 4 separate pieces. No bell-housing damage though.

Its the 3 "tabs" for the pressure plate.. they snapped, causing everything else to grenage.. Common problems on NA trans turbo'd Supras....Except usually an experience driver will notice somethings off. When you bounce off the rev limiter... this is what happens. Oh.. and ask your timing chain how its feeling. Few manufacturers strengthen the tabs. bastards. Or you could just not bounce off the rev limiter..

They're called straps.
Lots of clutch manuf. that are worth a damn strengthen them(by either better materials or thicker/more straps).

that usually happens when the flywheel isnt resurfaced, the disk skips around and heats up the clutch. Usually the springs in the disk heats up to a glowing red and then can explode but the springs seems to be intact with the disk. Did you resurface your flywheel when you swapped the clutch?
