Has anyone been watching the new season?

I am NOT an avid fan of watching any series/show, i dont care what it is...

However, i am STUCK on the edge of my seat every sunday watching this show! I watched the first season with the same reaction...i thought they werent going to air it again, but its back!

I think it partly has to do with the main character being the dad from malcolm in the middle...sept now he is cooking meth and has Terminal Cancer...Pretty crazy switch of roles if you ask me...great actor!

BTW, if you dont know its on AMC every sunday at 10pm...

I started watching the first season but now i forget that its even on, I even got my mom watching it with me. And when i do watch it, is because im changing channels and i see that its on. I think that if the show was on a diffrent network more people would watch it.

Yea its really suprizing, a few of the actors in the show were nominated for an emmy from what i have heard...yet no one really watches it....everyone always gives me a wierd look like "breaking bad?? huh??"

DUDE. I was just about to make a thread about this show. I fucking LOVE this show. I've been watching since the first season, but then it went away for a long time. When season 2 came out, I was sooo stoaked. I even watched all the season one episodes again just so it's fresh in my mind.

Season 2 is sooooo intense. Edge of my seat every episode and always yelling, "OH SHIT!" haha.

Yea man seriously! I was simply amazed from him going from a rather "quiet" and un-noticed character roll, to such a violent bad ass! Remember last season when he started smoking pot?? haha that was halarious...

no but seriously my room-mate always laughs at me cause im always yelling while watching the show like "WTF?!!!" "NO WAY d00D!" etc...haha

What i love about the show is the fact that its all stuff that is possible and probably happens more than you would think...its not crazy unreal super power crap, or crazy terrorist plots that you know will never happen...this is just a very reputable over qualified chemist that decides to go hard core to get cash for his family before he passes away...everything that happens along the way are things that i believe arent too far from the truth...specially getting involved with selling POUNDS of meth on the street...

to top it off the guy is a square at first glance...crazy stuff man...lol

If he doesnt regulate, jessie is gona mess things up pretty bad, specially with his girl getting him to shoot up (hella dumb on his part). Skyler is def. at one point gona screw her boss, walt is gona find out and beat the crap out of him (im waiting for this part).

I think that everything is going to fall CLOSE to walt, but of course he is going to cop his way out of the finger pointing and wing some plan to have it blame someone else. I personally think they are going to catch on to him and then he is going to stage some incident to get him in the clear, like the naked in the grocery store episode...

season wraps up in two episodes... season 3 doesn't start until early '10.
i'm putting bets down on jesse's girlfriend od'ing as a minimum, possibly dying, possibly her dad comes by and sees her through the hole in the door walt busted out at the end of e11.

this show loves the bait and switch. we think shit's going down all fucking season, then it's a plane crash because "waaaah my daughter died". so the only real conflict for season 3:
-jesse is bummed
-the worst mom/wife in the world isn't happy with her marriage

it was still a really good episode, and the fucking plane crashing was like a twilight zone twist or something. jesse was very believable as "guy whose meth addiction killed his girlfriend".

Man I started watching this show half way into season 2 and was amazed at the action and drama on this show... Im hooked I had to download season 1 and the rest of season 2. now on 3

For those who havent seen it, its about a science teacher who hits a midlife crisis was diagnosed with cancer, was screwed out of a multimillion $ buisness, and isnt happy with the money he makes. His bro in law is a DEA agent, sees how much money they were confiscating from meth busts. He runs into a previous student who slangs drugs so he starts cooking (making the purest quality possible) gets tangled up with the mafia & killing some of them, all of this while trying to maintain a regular life at home and keep his bro in law out of the loop dealing with cancer and many more hurdles (pretty graphic).

Really shows how bad the substance affects people, their family and friends. really intriguing

Are people here on the third season? All I can say is DAMN man, Walter's completely falling apart.

One of the awesome things about this show, though, is that the same character can be the badass of "This isn't meth" but also be unable to break a window or fight even halfway competently (re: Saul, anyway) and it not feel like a cop-out or inconsistent. Wonderfully rounded characters on this show.

And Hank's detective work was ace during this episode. When he found the ATM I got giddy that he was going to figure that out.

This season just keeps on giving. It seems like everyone has their own portion of the episode that struck them. For me that part is Jesse's decision to sell meth to the people in his rehab group. I know that characters have done some fairly bad shit in this series, but there's just something so evil about this that it really sticks out to me. Walt may be a criminal, but it seems like it's Jesse who is losing his humanity.

I think he will kill mike in the end, not Gus. He can't kill Gus due to the fact that he is the one selling the product and supplying Walt with what he needs. Decent episode, picked up in the second half at least. I'd like some better plot point however, maybe the ending with Hank picking up the case might be it but it feels rehashed. Best fucking line of the episode tho: "Do you know how much I make in a day?".

Really great episode this week, that opening sequence and the scene where hank shows walt the lab notes, had some very effective and intense direction. Obviously the viewer knew that nothing was going to happen and that Hank wouldn't have any kind of revelation, but Cranston made Walt's tension so believable.

And they finally seem to be taking Jesse story in more interesting directions. I was kinda finding his story arc to be a bit of a bore. Jesse has gone completely psycho, he's just a robot.

Great episode. Jesse and Mike were awesome together and although it was predictable Jesse wasn't going to get killed, as was the fact that the "robbers" were testing his skills, it was a joy to watch. I think Mike is warming to him a bit and hating Gus as the days go by. I really hope Hank manages to put the pieces of the puzzle together this season... I really want him to get back on top of things.

We have eight episodes left this season plus another sixteen on the way. It will be very interesting to see how Gilligan & Co craft the end of the series. Walt's almost spinning completely out of control already, so they'll have to pull him back from the edge to keep it going for another twenty four episodes. I don't think he'd last much longer with his current mindset.

Definitely a great episode. It's starting to pick up and get awesome. I loved the fast forward sequences of Jesse this episode. Such great filming this season.

At the end of the episode I was cringing when Walt was talking about himself to Hank. I can't believe Walt would do something like that and give Hank ideas bout the possibility that Heisenberg is still out there.

Im really kind of happy Hank is all screwed up and dissabled, dude is a complete ass. Funny how since he is criple his character is 150% more genuine! You can notice the character change occuring with his segregation and self exclusion from his wife and the rest of the family.

I wouldnt be suprised if later on he ends up getting on Walt's side IF he were to end up finding out the truth...

Yes, that's true. I would definitely have a hard time listening to someone talk about someone else and giving them credit for my work. Plus he seemed to be a little intoxicated.

I can't wait to see what happens when Hank eventually finds out about Walter, IF he ever does. I don't know about being on the same side. After all Walter was associated with the two brothers that disabled Hank. But then again he is paying for all the medical bills.

Rest of the show was great after the RAGE stuff.

Jesse/Mike is now the best thing about the show I think. Really like where this is heading. Gus being pressured by the cartel is also really interesting. I asssume what they want is Walt to make their product?

Skyler being shocked at how much Walt makes and not knowing how to launder it was also great. When Walt is being a stupid twat and doing everything he can to boost his own ego, seek revenge and generally not stick to their story at all, she's stressing out about how to keep her family safe and off the radar of the IRS. How can anyone on GAF hate that, again? The scene with Walt trashing the car made me want to punch him.

And Hank... fucking hell. What a great scene. I said last episode I really hope he pulls himself out of that hole and begins to nail the case and that's exactly what he's done. Put a huge smile on my face to see him sat at that table laying out the whole case for them. Wonderful.

Excellent how they gave Gus motivation and built his past. Gives context to why he's such a cold moutherfucker.

Walt was cold to that other cancer patient. Surprised that nobody talked about that part. Though it makes sense, this was Gus' episode. That ending flashback was simply great. Gus is now that much more interesting... Damn!

That scene in the parking lot was too intense. This show is SO brilliant. I cannot wait to watch more!

I think Walt's cancer is already back. The smoking and the comment about "we're already dead anyway" in this ep hinted at it. Previous episode: the look on Walt's face as he suits up on the scene immediately after the Dr.'s visit and his response to Flynn's question about the results at dinner.

Fucking LOVED ep 10. The scene where Jessie tells off that English bastard is GOLD. The proud looks on Mike and Gus' faces were incredible.

I love this trio of Gus, Mike and Jessie. I think Walt would be a great fit in there, too. He knows he made a mistake. He said it himself. Jessie is without a doubt still has good concerns for Walt and vice versa. Gus' 4 are now big time territory holders. CAN'T WAIT for the next 3 episodes.

I'm almost a week behind, but I just watched the episode. BEST episode of the season so far. I bet Jesse told Gus and Mike that Walt made the poison to give to the Cartel or something like that. What an awesome ending scene.

Walt might not be best of friends with Gus and Mike, but I think Jesse is growing fond of them. True he could have just left both of them there at the end, but then that would have been the end of Breaking Bad. haha. I don't see how they are going to get out of the country though; they don't even know where they are!
