so tonight i was taking a turn 90 degrees and it skidded to one side and then the other and i almost hit the curb facing front.....
i realized i dont have control of the car yet..and im another bandwagoner thinking just cuz i beat the boss on initial D doesnt mean i can do it in real life.
I think this was a warning sign and now im gonna stop driving a little hard on the streets...
My question is where can i take more driving lessons??? such as autox type driving?

Go on your local forum and look for auto-x information. Atleast your a smart bandwagoner and gave up driving like a idiot before you killed someone.

you're 20.............

i did the same shit when i was 20 and was lucky i didnt hit anyone.

my advice? focus less on driving fast, focus more on driving. watch more best motoring videos and you'll probably get educated pretty quickly. but more importantly, focus on being smooth (not fast). time will pass and you'll become more intuitive with the car, its only natural..............

I'm gonna agree on this.

Atleast you had the balls to come on and admit wtf you did and that it was wrong. Most of these kids wont even do that. Seriously focus more on driving the car and learning what causes it to do certain things. I wont say I didn't do stupid shit when I was younger, thats the whole point of being young. Atleast noone is hurt.

OP, start attending NASA HPDE events. You'll e put in the noobasaurus rex bracket and have an instructor teaching you how to drive like Danny Sullivan

yeah, scca would be a good place start.
I think the 240sx is also a bit unpredictable to drive with an open diff.
that was the case with my s14 at the time.
car snapped at some of the most awkward moments.
I had done about 25-30 hpde track days & a dozen autoX days by then too, albeit mostly with a miata.
I've always felt the 240sx wasn't an easy car to drive.
Even the miata is far more forgiving & predictable imo.

Well, as everyone else said, Auto-x your balls off.

You'll learn a shitton of car control really quickly.

Start auto-xing and then move into something like an HPDE, your skills will only grow.

^^ lol... x2 here.

Anyway... like many people who posted here, can't say I didn't do stupid stuff with cars when I was younger. You should definitely hit up some autoX events or some other type of event to learn some better car control.
