connecting aem ems to laptop

i just tried to connect my aem ems to my laptop and realized that the serial cable on my ems is 9 pin and the only thing my laptop has on it is a 15 pin vga. what have you guys used to hook up your ems's? i looked at a bunch of different places for a 9 to 15 pin adapter locally with no luck.

Dude hooking it up to a VGA isn't going to help you any. If your laptop doesn't have a serial port get a serial to usb adapter.

Make sure you get one with the proper drivers for your OS.
