Ok i need help deciding on buying this car or not. I am torn and my gf isnt too happy about me wanting to buy it. She said that if i can get it for 1900 then thats fine. I am on the fence about purchasing it. So I am turning to yall to help me decide. If I offer him 1900 and he says yes should I go ahead and get the car. Pending test drive of coarse thanks for the help.

If you can get EVERYTHING for $1900 HELL YES buy that...
5 Lug is - $500... so right off the bat the car drops to about $1400, I could list all the things and their prices but IMO for a clean body & no rust... I say cop it.
You could sell the engine... or keep it... SR/CA/RB FTW

vomits... that thing is ugly.. i've gotten shells for 1/8th that price that look better than that.... screw 5-lug if thats your "swaying point" than its still not worth it. Nice 240s must be hard to find in FL..
1. The car has been in an accident. You better get under it an check it out.
2. Smokes when it starts could be a sign of a bigger problem.
3. Cut springs. How cheap can you be, I'd be worried about the shocks being blown.
4. A/C. If you care about it, I hate when people say oh it just needs this insignifican't item to work. FUCKING FIX IT THEN. WTF. Most of the time they're lying and that shit is gone and thats why its not working.
I wouldn't pay more than $1500, personally. With the way the prices of other more desirable cars have dropped dramatically over the past few months, there's no point in shelling out more than you should.

damn there are no 240's for sale here in florida. at least none in decent shape that are fairly inexpensive

i did find a shell but no trailor to tow it

maybe he'll take 1500 :-/
I have seen nicer 240s go for less, but you can't always get the best deal ever. I would take a REAL good look at that chassis before you buy it, if you just want a shell make sure its one worth building.

If he includes 5 lug I say go for it
If not don't even bother

ya the 5 lug and the exhaust is the big selling point. that and the body (from what i can tell) looks pretty straight. i dont care about paint im gona do that later anyways. the interior is pretty clean as well except for the rebel flag shift boot. that is the first thing being removed. anymore opinions are deff welcomed

Don't take this the wrong way, but, why does your GF care? Unless you have certain plans that you and her have worked out....she should be happy if you're happy.

They are planning on getting married so considering it's his future wife he may care what she has to say.

ok so there was a change of plans. I found a complete shell with suspension, koyo radiator pretty clean for $900. so that leaves me enough to my sr swap.
Good shit. Thats more of a decent price on a shell. The rest of the stuff can be had for pretty cheap nowadays.

oh and she completely ok with me building cars and all but not all the money has to go to it. if it wasnt for the wedding she would have no problem with me spending whatever on a car.

You can find alot of S13's in better condition around here, just have to look harder and get off of TampaRacing, your only going to find some one else's problem 75% of the time.
