DIBBS ON BRINGING A COOLER FULL OF ICE AND REFRESHMENTS!!1eleven!

Also, the site says they have 4 BBQ's, so if we WANT, I can fit somebody's (small) BBQ in the back of the 'Goon. They have 48 off-street parking spots, and I'd assume there will be other people there, so be sure it's first-come-first-serve for parking.

Set rules on parking this time around. AKA, you need to be hard parked if you're with the group of cars (for picture taking's sake!), and whoever's organizing (or helping) needs to get there early to direct people where to park. If you don't want your license plate on the internet, remove it or cover it when you get there!

You know why? Because the meets get whored out like a hooker. If you don't control who comes, you can't control the stupidity. Haha it was a free shell..I'm swapping a dohc motor into it. Just finished with a headgasket replacement and some other misc crap...once it moves under it's own power I'll do the body work.

Overfenders isn't a problem at all...massive spacers to make it look nice and some low offset wheels is. With stock fenders I can get normal wheels and spacers. Don't need the baller low offsets lol....budget for the car is $1500 for EVERYTHING hahahaha it's gonna be a pile of crap

Kait and I DID drive out there this morning to check it out. Looks like we'll have some music, as there's an outlet in the covered picnic area. There's a big BBQ that we're going to have to claim, and tons of shaded tables. As far as parking, it looks like there's about 10 spots up front and 8 right across from them. I'll get some cones to try to mark off spots for us all, and if we park correctly (angled through spaces) we should be able to fit a good amount of people in for some sweet pictures!

We took greenback > don julio > heartland > park, and from Don Julio onward, the road was smooth enough to drive on, just in case people are worried about rolling out in slammed cars.

Speaking of Google Maps, though, I did make a quick diagram on how we're keeping this organized!

I had a great time, even though it was like a MILLION degrees outside, and I got a little burnt! Everyone who came out, thanks for making it a great event! We were a bit disorganized on the food/utensil situation, but I'll remember that for next time so we can get it on lock.

I'm glad there was minimal "flexing" when everyone was leaving! Revs were kept down, and nobody related to the meet made a scene about leaving. Drama free meets are always more fun. Again, thanks for coming out and it was great to meet you guys! I'm gonna look into getting stickers/shirts made for future meets.

I want to stay away from that type of scene until things get a bit more organized. Going to the lake is like an open invitation to start drinking. When testosterone mixes with booze, and you toss cars into the lot, it turns out wicked bad. Once the NorCal BBQ Crew is organized and in full swing, we might look into something like that.

For now, though, I'm still a bit sketched out about even hosting a cruise. Even if "the rules say...", people will (maybe accidentally) start a slide and end up ruining things for us, them, or somebody completely unrelated. I don't want that on my hands. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way, either...

For now, we're sticking to parks/parking lots. I think it's plenty of fun, and a great way not only to get some great photos of your cars, but a great way to meet people who are fairly local. I'm glad I finally got to meet Jonnie Fraz, for instance, because now I can bug him about making a sweet strut bar for my 'goon! And SunnyS14 is always good for looking snazzy and making your car look insignificant....

Definately agree with sean, for once, that we should stay away from lakes. Aside from us acting stupid, people who are there that aren't with us can be idiots, especially at a lake and yeah. no one wants a drunk redneck hitting their car with a boat, amirite?

As long as I'm one of the hosts, I'll probably try to keep it to Sunday afternoons. Keeps drinking to a minimum and day light means people are a bit more wary of police!
