1990 Nissan 240sx SR20DET turbo with mods (http://sarasota.craigslist.org/cto/1079096457.html)
Also i have heard that the 91+ 240's are a little easier to swap sr's into. Since this one already has it installed its not too much of a concern. My question is: Is this a pretty good price? and As far as the body of the 1990 240 is ther any difference in putting the silvia conversion on? thanks for the help

looks real clean. that's a very good price. but if you are planning on putting a silvia front end on it. Don't get it.

it's a "good" price.
but i noted the "project car" and "needs little work"
see if it runs and how well. the price does seem good.
and YES you can put a silvia front on the car.

its an ok price.
The power steering is probably leaking because he tried to use the SOHC (original engine) power steering lines, and they dont quit match up after the swap. or he fucked up the threads on them.
the car is alright
its basically a sundamaged 240 (steering wheel and dash) with a SR20 dropped in.
A SR swap takes under 12 hours to do yourself with a friend.
So If you dont want to do a swap yourself, its ok. you can get SR cars for a couple hundred more with alot more done if you keep looking and wait for one.
But its not bad, body looks good.
go drive it.
if it feels good, i would think you should feel good about spending the money on it.
FYI time
So you know, putting a silvia front on a hatch is considered ugly as fuck! You will be ridiculed forever, and everytime you post your car pics, someone will mention it.
Its common belief that the downward curving lines of the hatch go with the downward curving lines of the pop up headlights
The boxed off trunk of the coupe goes with the boxed off brick lights of the silvia front.
makes sense huh? PLEASE do not put a silvia front on a hatch. Or I will snicker everytime i see your car. And I will be forced to think, "what a ricer fanboy"
FYI

the seller wrote that he needs a more practical car. what's not practical about a 240?? its fast, efficient, seats 4, etc, etc
to op, for what you're getting, that is a great price. car looks clean. just make sure when he said it needs some work, its nothing serious like lack of framerails due to immense rust or something

Sil80s are fucking gay. There's been mayyyyybe two or three non-gay Sil80s in the history of the universe.
Don't do it.

Im torn between the 2 cars. Mainly due to the fact that ive worked on 91+ but never pre 91. Not sure what the differences are as far as parts. If I get the 1990 the first thing ill do is suspension. if I get the one in the link in this reply ill have to wait a bit before doing anything cause i like to keep a certain amout of money in my checking account. here the other . I may offer him $4k and see if he agrees to it.

That second car is a coupe with a SR.
I think offering 4K is a little too much.
imo
