Is anyone here on zilvia going to the Redline Time Attack season opener at buttonwillow on march 28th-29th? I will be there on the 29th, probably in street class, but I may run modified. Who will be there and what class will you be running?

The time attack was a blast yesterday. I ended up running a 2:10.xxx and finished about mid-pack, about what I expected. I don't know my exact time as they wouldn't post the final times untill after the awards ceremony and I didn't stay for that. I'll update the thread when I get the final results. I need more practice at both buttonwillow and the whole time attack thing. It is pretty rattling when you don't really know the track and you only have 3 laps to set your time. I didn't put together nearly as good of a lap as the car was capable of. With more practice I probably could have run a 2:08.xxx.

I saw the final results last night....

What the HECK is in the NSX from FX.... to top the unlimited class. 2 secs in front of the CWest car too!! Who was the driver, never even heard of him.

You've never heard of Billy Johnson? He's been driving that nsx for a while. Where did you see the results?

Well I found the final results. I ran a 2:09.954. I finished 16th out of 26 cars in street RWD, 33rd out of 56 cars in street overall, and 55th out of 91 cars in the overall event results.

Yes sir, I plan to. I should do better at big willow too as I know that track quite well and I know how the time attack works. I won't be so rattled.
