Well i dont need a new car but I have a auto 240sx now. I Was wondering what you guys think is another desent car for about 10k or under.. I was thinking a 300zx or a newer 240sx. I like the older Mr2's or maybe an eclipes GST or GSX or even a GTI
Please give me some feed back

It all depends on what you want out of the car. That can determine very easily which route to take. Do you want twisty-taking performance, straight-line performance, looks, reliability, chick-getting ability? That info would help us help you as well.

Why do you want to get rid of your current 240SX?

I'm guessing the main reason he/she wants to get a new car is the 240 is an auto...? I think.

I'm not too fond about the Eclipse, but the others sound like a route I wouldn't be saddened to take.

Yeah, my 240sx is auto, Im really leaning towards a 90+ 300zx, i really dont care if its turboed or not, it looks bad ass plus i THINK I can convert it to a turbo later

errr...its not easy to go NA to turbo. you dont just slap on turbos.

its not a simple swap. you have seen a z32 engine bay havent you?

Try an MKII MR2, buy an NA get used to the MR format, then if you want more power juss get the JSpec 3SGTE. Since your in the area you prolly know about CJ Motorsports, they work with MR2s, I am sure they could inform you more on the engine.

AMEN to that!! I still think they built the engine, then designed the car around it. There's no room for hands smaller than a small child's!!

If you're interested in a Z32, and trying to turbo the NA, go to www.300zxclub.com and go through all the threads explaining what needs to be done to turbo the NA.

Plus, on a Z32, when you have to do maintenance, you might as well sign over your first, second, and third born children. They are very expensive to repair, and have to be meticulously maintained.

I concur... I know 2 people selling NA Z32s and both are selling because they simply can't afford the upkeep as the car creeps well above the 100,000 mile mark. I love my S14 for the fact that nothing costs a million bucks and an appendage, so of the cars you named, I would go for the S14(naturally) then the GTI (almost bought one... on 2 occasions) and then the MR2... I would steer clear of the eclipse because if you find one used, it will likely be rode hard and put away wet, more trouble than it's worth.

And lauren, could you get UN away on AIM please??? :D
