Yeah so pretty much any day that it's windy, my oem alarm (95 s14 se) goes off. it's annoying when i'm working and gotta run my ass outside to the parking lot to turn it off. now ppl crack jokes about my car alarm, i've become THAT guy.:bash:

my check engine light is on so maybe that's part of it, but really has anybody experienced this and what were steps taken to remedy this?

Also my keyless remote doesn't function anymore, i put in fresh batteries and still nothing. Any clues how to get it back

I don't think the OEM alarm has a shock sensor it may be an aftermarket, I'm not sure though.

I'd say search, but I'll be nice.

If it is an OE alarm (security LED in dash below climate control, and it's a 95 SE or 96 SE with leather) then it is only triggered by the doors, hood, or trunk. There is no impact/motion sensor.
What has probably happened as it does on virtually all these cars is your hood switch is being triggered due to a worn hood bumper. The bumper depresses the hood switch and as it get old and deteriorates it no longer puts pressure on the switch. So, unplug the hood switch. See what happens from there.

Shit I wish mine worked atleast... I will try that tho russ. Would be annoying but atleast it would be SOMETHING to keep my car safer. Blinking security light just doesn't strike security to me......

if its an OEM alarm your keychain remote should have one gray "half circle" button and then two little circle buttons below it. (at least mines is and says NISSAN on it)

but if its OEM theres a writeup on how to reset it.

PM me if you can indicate that it is INDEED oem, and i'll give you the alarm reset procedure.
