It was on fox news today. she was learning how to parallel park when she hit the gas instead of the brake, and they showed her 240sx on tv. They are charging her with child endangerment I think? I will find the newslink later cuz I am at work.

She pinned them to the curb during her parallel park. Here is a link.

What the hell is wrong with them charging her with child endangerment??? I understand that she didn't have a license, but charge her with something related to that. Christ, it was obviously an accident and I bet she's hysterical over the whole thing. Isn't it punishment enough that her sons are in the hospital??

I'd have to agree. I dont want to think about what she is going through right now, and it was such a freak accident to top it off. Do they say anything important in the news video link? I dont have headphones here at work

I somewhat agree with you--but only on the part that this was obviously an accident and her probably being hysterical. She should be charged.

1. Why in the hell were her kids & sister sitting on the curb while she was trying to park? Stupid idea in my opinion.

2. She's 19, no driver's license, & two children--doesn't sound very responsible in the first place, unless she's already been married and divorced--which is unlikely since she's only 19

3. Why was she driving w/o a license in the first place? And why did that one lady say she was probably teaching HERSELF how to drive? If that is true, than the 19-year-old isn't very smart anyway.

I don't think she hit her children and sister w/ the car deliberately. But, she definitely did not try to prevent the accident. She was very irresponsible, and should not have been driving in the first place. And, letting her children sit on the curb was a stupid thing to do--any car could have hit them--then the 19-year-old would sue the driver for wreckless driving and hurting her family. So, I definitely think she should be charged for: driving w/o license, wreckless driving, child endangerment, and possibly even attempted manslaughter w/ a vehicle.

What she did was stupid--in every sense. This shiat piasses me off.

Hey, women drifters = the mega.
But that's a whole other topic!

Back on topic: That was quite an unfortunate accident. No one should teach themselves how to drive...that's just asking for trouble as is evidenced by this incident.

In this day and age....that can be very likely to be true.

Back to topic: That was an unfortunate accident and seriously....she just focked up for being irresponsible.

I agree with 96sechick on this one... She should be charged for child endangerment for the simple fact that her kids were sitting on the curb. The other stuff is minor in comparison, we have ALL driven without a liscence, even if we WERE under age and learning at the time, I happened to have taught myself to drive a stick and since I don't have any kids, I can't comment there...

96sechick is right on with her evaluation of the situation. The bottom line is she broke the law so she should be punished for that, but it's very unfortunate that she had to involve her children and sister for her irresponsibility.

However, I can sort of relate to her as I taught myself to drive a stick, but this was in the middle of the night, with no cars or people to hit, just in case I lose control or something of that nature. She should have thought about the safety of other people, but it's too late as the harm is done.

Moral of the story: Think before you act... and don't run over family members!

this is the MAIN reason she should be charged with child endangerment... come on now how the hell you gonna park with kids right on the curb?!

None taken, but come on! Enough with women bashing already--if we posted something everytime a male driver did something this stupid/irresponsible we would need a whole other board.

I'm not saying I am the best driver ever, but I certainly wouldn't be caught running over my off-spring with no license! I totally agree that she should be charged with endangermeant.

ROFLMAO!!! Excellent point Gurl! :D

But, one thing some people aren't realizing is the fact that, if someone else had done this to her children, they would be fined, ticketed, possibly accused of attempted vehicular manslaughter, and probably even sued by the mother. She was not acting as the mother and sister of the victims--she assaulted the victims, using her own vehicle, even though it was unintentional. She caused bodily harm. She hit human beings with her vehicle, and she should be charged like any Joe Schmoe would be if he were driving the car and did the same thing. She should not be given any slack just for being related to the victims.

Good point! I think that the whole point of boeingcharged is so maybe next time she will think twice about doing something potentially hazardous to the life of her children. At least thats all we can hope for!
