Wow thanks for such a quick reply. Ouch, you don't want to know what I paid and what I still owe on it.

I'll give you 5 darra!
Lol exactly what I was about to say.

i'd say keeping it would be the best decision. It seems like you would be losing more than what your paid, and if you still owe money. Consider whether it'll pay what you owe, if it barely pays it off, then keep it. 6-7k seems about right.

Maybe 6k. I would say 7k tops.

5000 to 5500.
Only 5500 because of the 5lug already being done.
But I could build your car for 3K to 4K in a week.
so I wouldn't pay that.
Plus it will never be street legal here in SoCal.
So its a expensive dice roll for someone to purchase.
imho

You could not and WOULD not be able to get close to having a car like that for 3K to 4K in a week. You're ridiculous.

i would say 7k easy. i see stock s13s with sr go for 4k easy these days. and there is a decent amount of work in this car.

You are in Michigan, we are in California. 3-4k for a RB car is possible here, maybe not in your area of the country but here? Oh yeah.

Currently down for maintenance.
But if I were to take a random guess at what the car is : SR, coilovers, some suspension, wheels.
6000.

a shell cost 300-500
a RB25 cost under 2000 off the container if your not paying the bumped up shop fees.
coils, at cost, under 800 easy
front end conversion these days, couple hundred.
JY 5 lug conversion, cheap
the drive shaft and the rims may cost a normal fee and bump my estimate up.
So I could build that car for MYSELF for 4K to 4.5K in a week, sorry.
Most of the things listed are part of the engine swap, really cheap, or randomly sorced.
I have all kinds of wierd things around.
Full Auto meter gauges, short shifter, efan, momo wheel, quik release,etc,...I just never put em in and they really didnt cost anything.
I basically am saying the car has a
engine swap,
coils
front end conversion
driveshaft
5lug
the more people I meet through here and drifting, the more I realize how cheap these cars really are and how the people that are newer to the scene REALLY get taken advantage of.
yeah, Maryland price, but good luck finding a buyer in a smaller market over there.
Lets just hope you dont have to sell it!!

The prices on this coast are the same on that one. Simply because our buyer market is smaller. RB isn't an expensive swap anymore, though still fairly rare on this side of town.
Clean ride though, major problem is, not many people in this side of the country are too interested in a sleeper like it is on coupes. Maybe on hatches, but not on coupes. People over here are more likely to value it by what it doesn't have, instead of what it does.
In the current market, it would sell at 6500, probably wouldn't at 7k or more

Stuff
Even at 4.5k, that's still too cheap.
A good condition shell goes for $500-$700(usually a blown motor, fully stock S13 which is the best to start off with).
Coilovers under $800? Maybe Megans, Godspeed, or Ksports. Most better coilovers under $800 are generally leaking, on their way out, or with high mileage.
Front end conversions are still $600-$700 on average.
$2,000 for the RB plus any piping you may need, front mount, wiring, manifold, etc etc can push you over $2,500.
Junkyard 5-lug is rare (in all junkyards i've been to) and it's not like you can use Z32 fronts on an S13(hubs that is). So, even if he went with Z32 rear hubs, 5-lug rotors are $50+(S14 SE's), and ran S14 front 5-lug, that would still cost over $300 easily.
G35 wheels, cheap, would probably be $200-$300 with good tires.
Driveshaft, well, really depends on what place you go to.
Fact is, the car is already put together fairly clean, everything matches, seems to have quality work done, and you know for a fact that it'll be running in tip top shape(depends on the person too). So, no surprises from a motor out of a container.(We've heard the nightmare stories)
$6-7k for it would definitely be ideal.
Same goes for Dave. Stock S13 with an RB and cheap coils can fetch $3-4k, but most are hacked to death with neat surprises the moment you start digging into the car.

Ive never seen a clean shell for under 800 and that a lot of missing interior. I have also never seen a full clean Silvia front for a couple hundred...
Also, Greddy Manifold, Clutch, Flywheel, Exhaust thats over $1000 there and that's assuming 400 for mani, 200 for clutch and 200 for flywheel and 300 for exhaust which is pretty lenient in all regards...
None the less Im not going to argue about it.

You can try to argue all you want, but the fact is that you CAN put a car like that together for 5k or less here in cali. It has a few nice parts on it, but nothing really that great. The only thing that may not fit into the $5k budget would be the paint, but earl scheib is cheap and presentable if you prep and mask the car yourself.

Its really only in the last 8 months or so too. imo
The RB 25 makes a big difference though
the RB20 in the last year has turned into the new SR, lol.
I would sell if for around 7.5 and just sit on it.
Someone may bite.
and Johnny, shell?
lil Jack just picked up a nice running auto vert for $1000 last week and Chris (mehsilva) got a mint vert couple weeks ago for 1700.
800 with missing interior!!! WTF? lol

I agree that 7.5k sounds about good. There is no way you will be able to build such a clean car like that for 4k its impossible.

Don't get me wrong Johnny. I watched the price on good RB25 swapped cars plummet. He may get 6-6500 for it. Thing is what I have been seeing is RB cars not really selling. When you see good SR cars with parts rolling in the 5k range sometimes cheaper. Its really a hard sell market.
Funniest thing of all is a stock car with a KA right now is holding its value quite well. Automatic 91 up KA cars sell around $2500 5 speed cars with reasonable mileage sell around 3k throw some parts in like suspension and stuff and they go into the $3500-4k range.
The biggest problem with RB25Det powered cars, is finding the customer who wants one bad enough to pay for the clean nice one. A person who is going to be cheap and go for hacked up one.
While his car is nice and the value should be at least $7500 I have a hard time seeing him get it in todays market. I don't think it would sell for that price in California now. It may go for more some place else. Though its a specialized car.
When someone builds a car like that they should not expect to sell it quickly. Its the kind of car that has to find the right customer. They do not come along all the time.
Honestly I built a car that pretty much matched all the specs of that car three to four years ago for a customer in the bay area. He paid just over 10,500. He wound up selling the car for like $6500 a year and a half later.
Honestly to the OP your best bet is to put the car on ebay. I do not know how much you spent on it. I am guessing you spent around 8-10k.
The market is strange now and IMO its not a very good market for RB cars.

thats the key thing there in cali where you guys have direct access to stuff without having to pay shipping fees ect out here on the east coast that car would easy run us aroud 6k -7.5k all day

I think you could get at least $5000 for it. It depends on how quickly you want to sell it though. If you wait for the right buyer you could probably get $6000, but I doubt anyone will pay more than $7000.
For everyone arguing over what it would cost to build, that really just depends on how much time you take to build it. Great deals come along once in a while, you just need to be looking and have cash ready.
To the OP, that's a really clean looking car. You probably spent a lot on it. Unless you want to get rid of it for something different I'd say keep it if you can.
