View Full Version : Dyno Day BBQ in Huntington Beach 4/4/09

Hi everyone,

Well, we have the dyno in and we have a weekend free, so I hoping to get a nice little get together/BBQ/dyno meet going for all the Nissan guys. Other cars (http://g35driver.com/forums/#) are welcome too but it will be mostly Nissan. So, if you've got any buddies that would like to come along they're very welcome. Also, this is a TWO-wheel dyno, so unfortunately anybody out there with awd vehicles (http://g35driver.com/forums/#) looking to hop on they dyno are out of luck.

The dyno is a dynodynamics with eddy current load control, so, its a pretty nice dyno we can do variable loads, whatever you want. It will be $55 for 3 pulls. If you need a tune or something we can help you out with that too time allowing after everyone has had their quick power (http://g35driver.com/forums/#) pulls. Some of you guys probably know our tuner, his name is Bucky, he used to do a lot of his tuning out of Shawn Church's place for the Nissan (http://g35driver.com/forums/#) community. We will have a bunch of hot dogs and burgers on the BBQ and drinks there too for all of us to eat, all the food will be free. Should be a real fun time.

So, aiming for 25 vehicles (http://g35driver.com/forums/#) present to get on the dyno. It will start around 10 a.m., like to have everyone there before noon to hang out and enjoy the food. Depending on turn out, I expect the event to go into the early evening. Just RSVP in this thread if you're interested or shot me a PM or post in the thread and ill put you on the list.

What if I need my safc tuned? Because I just started my ka-t project. How much will that be? lmk im down for this.

We can certainly help you with your tune, usually an SAFC takes an hour, sometimes two when theres a complication with parts not properly communicating. We can do your tune, but like I said since its going to be at least an hour I would have to do that on a date when there isn't a real rush to get people on and off the dyno ASAP.

What up SOCAL people for those that know me & those that dont,This is AJ here I gotta bump it up & vouch for this meet.FYI since I closed my personal shop UNITED MOTORSPORTS I am now doing fab work and much more here at IMPULSE CARS since its inception. I been on the DL for a while.
Anyhow my car will also be on display near the dyno its got a little, big suprise in the engine bay I call it the S13BRE. Get it??!! Its not 100 % ready yet but its on the way.

Hello the Action starts at 10am until all cars on the list get there runs in. On our last dyno day we were there til about 6pm. C YA THERE:D:D:D

I work from 12-7pm.

My only hope is you guys be doing it past 7pm lol.
I could go at 10am, but I'm sure other people would already be there and by it's close to my turn, I'd have to go to work haha.

If I can beat my friend's 230hp BMW, I should be at least in the 100s. :)

while is was there only 3 240's showed up. most of the cars were BMW's. there was a G35 and 2 Mazdaspeed3's

i made a whopping 222whp and it wasnt reading wheel torque but the dyno said i made 310 flywheel torque(they said it would probably be around 270wtq).
