Well, I'm tired of stripping these damn injector cap screws. I'm looking for an alternative with an 8mm head. Benefit would be that even if i snap the head off I'll still be able to get the cap off seeing as it isn't threaded.

Issue I'm having is I don't know the actual specs of the screw. Found the part number (08310-51662) and the sku number (08310-s13005) off courtesy parts, but no specs were given. So wondering if anyone knows the specs on theses so that I'm not wasting my time going from hardware store to hardware searching if they have a match. If by chance i am unable too, then I'll just get them off some car at the junkyard.

Russ, hoping you jump in here and are able to point me in the right direction. :x:

I replaced all mine with socket head bolts. Drilled out way to many of them with the screw head. Do you need the dimensions of the bolts?

I did the same, used stainless steel cap head screws. I don't recall the specs but if you can get one out, match it up at any quality hardware store. If not, I'll nab one tomorrow and fill you in. I want to say it's M5x.08 but don't quote me yet.

Thanks to both of you and it is exactly what I want to do. Drilled out all of them today because I didn't want to deal with changing out the fuel rail. Being hunched over the engine trying to get to stuff near the firewall takes a lot out of my back.

Need the dimensions. I got them out, but there aren't many hardware stores that I would say are of actual quality. Home Depot and Lowes are always longshots at having anything remotely related to automotive screws/bolts.

Tomorrow I do have planned to go to as many hardware stores as possible to find a match, but goose hunts aren't fun when you have more pressing things to do.

Russ you were right on the ball as usual, M5x.08 is the correct size.
Picked up 10 (couple extras) Hex Head Cap Screws plus the washers for less than $3

If anyone wants a set for their own I can do $5 shipped. PM me.
