nah, 2008 had a few solid comedies. Step Brothers and Pineapple Express come to mind, not much else at the moment but i'm sure there were a few other good ones i've forgotten about. it was damn funny though.

Step Brothers was also EXTREMELY funny, and I think Will needs to take a break from the comedies for a while. Pineappe Express... Eh, it was funny, but in my opinion, it doesnt have the "lasting quality" I want from a good comedy!

well, i mean, the plot outline is the same. the scenes are the same. but they threw in a bunch of extra dialogue, changed a few lines with voiceovers that aren't remotely lipsync'd, threw in an amazing amount of full frontal nudity, and put the bloopers into the movie. the theatrical cut was funny, but this one's outstanding.
