turbo ka24de

i am going with a 300zx turbo from a 1984 or from a 1987 300zx. Not sure which one to go with, the 1984 turbo says 17 on it and the 1987 says 14 on it. Does anyone know what these numbers mean? It looks to me that the exhaust port on the older turbo has a bigger exhaust inlet port, not sure. Which one should i go with? Are any of these good?

Go for the 87's turbo. They're both T3's. The difference is that the turbo for the 87 has a water jacket which helps cool it - better for longevity. They didn't have water jackets until 85.

yeah plus its newer... mroe years to work out the kinks...do u know the mileage on each?

no , i dont know how many k
