Tramontana R-edition: Formula 1 + TIE Fighter + Street Legality (http://gadgets.boingboing.net/2009/03/11/tramontana-redition.html)

The Tramontana R-edition (http://ifitshipitshere.blogspot.com/2009/03/if-i-were-superhero-heres-how-id-roll.html) is a 720-HP, V12-powered car that actually exists. Half-a-million dollars sounds reasonable for a street-legal Formula 1 car in this economic climate. [via Core77 (http://www.core77.com/blog/object_culture/spains_unaffordable_caroplane_12835.asp)]

that's so when who ever buys it and runs it off a cliff, they can survive.

the thing looks pretty rad though. it has a cool factor but i dont know if i'd buy that...you know, if i had the money to buy such a thing.

I like it, looks pretty cool.

Don't know if I'd ever own one though, nerd level is too high, I'd get a Super Seven or an Atom (not a big fan) before it.

Not only does it have the design and aesthetics of a vehicle not of this earth (lots of carbon fiber), but it combines aeronautical technology with a Formula 1 Race car. It has a top speed of 720 Hp and goes from 0-60 mph (100Km/h) in 3.6 seconds! In a limited edition of 12 and costing a cool half million dollars, I've got tons of photos for you here.

Dude, a top speed of 720HP! That thing is a rocket!

Can't wait till Top Gear does this one.

meh. the engineering is cool..... a case of form follows function, for sure, but it leaves much to be desired stylistically. it's like, the pontiac aztek of supercars.

This will be the next car ripped in half by some rich dude that can afford to buy it but won't learn to drive it.

Looks great, but I doubt it'll be practical or safe with a ride height like that.
The pot-holes & driveway inclines will destroy it pretty quick.
Car like this are realistically more suitable to the track, not boulevard cruising.

not liking its looks. They could've made it look less like a spacehip kinda thing......-_-. I honestly don't like how most new cars are starting to look...
