First of all don't laugh, because my question is about automatic transmissions. I bought a pristine, bone stock 89 s13, with 75k original miles, only downfall is that it's automatic. So, on the freeway drive home, after purchasing this car, I noticed the the rpm's were kinda high, for the speed I was going. I was at about 50mph, and my rpm's were at 3500. Yes, I did have the overdrive on, in case anyone is going to point that out. Basically, the car won't go into 4th/overdrive. What could be the problem? Besides that, she drives perfect. I think she is telling me that she is unhappy, and that I must perform a 5 speed swap, for her to be content. :boink: Pushing the overdrive button, doesn't do anything when i'm on the freeway. Thanks for reading.

Try changing the fluid.... but other than that, could be a tranny issue or something.... Make sure its warmed up too
