whats this line for?

i have a 91 240sx, no longer have a ka and wondering what this line is used for? vacuum?gas? i have an sr20 and running a aeromotive fuel regulator. someone help me out.

I'm pretty sure that's the vent tube from the gas tank to the charcoal canister.

Feel free to remove it.

Remove the underhood portion, but leave the portion under the car. Also, leave it vented, do NOT cap it.
