that you shouldn't have bought it in the first place? I fucked up and didn't have it properly inspected and it has problems. If it didn't take me so long to save maybe I wouldn't mind so much but damn I almost feel trapped.

all the time lol.. i would be in a better place right now esp financially if i never got my car and got into car modding.. probably would have been finished with school and on my own years ago.. instead i played with cars and got stuck behind a slow economy tryin to get back up.
But buying an old car isnt bad.. upkeep and maintenance shouldn't be bad, esp cars from the 90s are built to be reliable imo. its the itch/temptations that we face that want to invest in modding/building/playing with it that slows some of us down with the necessity of life that WE SHOULD be working on instead of cars.

this thread makes me sad. All that money wasted into our cars could of definately be used better. Now a curb jumped out at me and again my car is broken and again i have to fix it. I dont know what but i think about it at school while i should be studying and paying attention. And i'm not motivated partly due to my car. i dont want to be underneath a car for the rest of my life, thats a hobby. But there are good time too....

With previous cars, I did.
But, that's what you get when settling for less.
I've never liked to buy S-chassis from here because a lot of people fiddle with them and half ass a LOT of shit.
Not saying everybody does, but I've seen it all too many times.
Both S-chassis I now own were from the original owners.
I did all the molesting and love it.
I think some(or most) get irritated of working on their cars because lack of funds.
Also, I've noticed that with a daily in place, I can do so much more crap to the "fun" car because I don't have to worry about having it ready by so and so day for work.
Anywho, rarely, I think "fuck this car", but that was before the daily.
Now, it's been all smiles.

Haha, for me, it really depends if it's a repair or new part install.
If shit breaks, then I hate it but installing new parts is ALWAYS fun.
Unless it's raining.

I used to get really mad whenever my car broke and fed up with trying to fix it and keep a car running with 175k on the odometer and tons of mods I did as I learned how things worked. On top of that driving to work everyday with it on a 50+ mile commute each way.
Then I got a daily... my only worry when working on the 240 now is...
"Why don't i have enough beer?"
I also miss dd'ing the 240... but it'll be back on the road soon and be ready for some track events :2f2f:

The only thing that comes to mind is.
"Why the fuck am I working on someone else's car when I need to be working on my own?!"
So by the time it comes to work on my car it's like, "Fuck, I just installed these parts on (insert name here)'s car. Now I have to do it again?!"
