Hey, my 240sx died a few months back and recently my dad has had some interest in bringing it back to life. He found out about the sr20det from a co worker and is interested in getting it done on my car. He wants final, end all costs (roughly) for a stock swap and where to get it done. Also, final costs (roughly) to swap a low mileage ka24de into the car.

Basically, just going over the options, comparing costs, whats worth it, whats not.

So, im in central NJ and id like to know where people recommend getting either of those done.

Also, how much i should expect to pay for a low mileage or rebuilt ka or a low mileage sr20det and also how much i should expect to pay for installation fo each.

Thanks.

i have been looking on there. However, they don't perform the swap. Im looking for some places that perform the swap in the central NJ/tri state area. Also, for the ka24de, is it worth finding a shop that specializes in performing 240sx engine swaps or would i be ok going to a regular mechanic.

These are the things im mulling over, and im looking for osme opinions, suggestions, or experiences.

Thanks.

I thought so too.

I emailed heavy throttle and recieved this in response:

"Anish,
we do
>not install engines here for the time being. We can help you
>find a place in NJ to help you with the install.
>
>We do have a lot of parts in stock and ready to ship. Engines are also
>available very soon.

>Let me know what you decide.
