Hello all, I finally bought a 240sx w/sr20det, to complete the family of Nissan/Infiniti. Anyway, my car is completely stock with just an upgraded intake filter and hot pipe. Still currently running the stock T25 turbo, it will spike up to 14 or 15 psi at full boost according to my boost gauge. I'm not running any mbc or anyother aftermarket parts. It's just running off the internal waste gate, the car drives real smooth and strong.

Also forgot to mention the entire motor(head/block) has been built with all new oem parts; pistons, rods, cams, decked, port polish, honed, polish crank, etc. Should I buy an mbc and turn the boost down asap? What could cause this spike on the stock T25? Only thing I can think of is maybe the ECU is running some kind of upgraded program? I appreciate everyones feedbacks, thanks!

Well if you don't know where you got the motor and what was done to the ecu then I suggest you get a boost controller and please no manual crap.... If too poor save up and get a greddy.... But there wise, also try adjusting the arm to shorten the arm on the turbo...

Stock T25 doesn't have adjustments for the wastegate. MBC aren't crap as long as you have a good one.

Really? I thought you can change the rod length... Otherwise test the actuator with foot pump.... make its kinda stuck... or change actuator

if you are running off of the waste gate actuator, you can't go any lower unless it's adjustable. or boost is being bled off before it.
if your boost spikes to 14-15psi what does it settle at?
my car is completely stock

maybe you're just flowing to much for the little t2small.

It'll start to settle ~10-12lbs by the time it reaches around 6-6.5k rpm's

Since I don't want to start another thread. I got a problem I'm stumped with.
I replaced the fog light bulbs on the dual projectors on my silvia s13 front end. And I've triple checked that the wirings, one to ground, and other wire to bulb coming from the old harness that leads to the pop-up button. I press the pop-up button, and doesn't turn on. I even removed the relay #4 on the fuse box so that it wont turn on with the low beams. Any idea's what it could be? I've been working on this for the past 2 hours.

Put the relay back and try.

Did both, and fogs still not lighting up. I'm still stumped!

Maybe your actuator is bad. Its possible that the webbing inside has torn and leaks.

i see, I spoke with the previous owner of the car. And he put an adjustable wastegate. How do I adjust the wastegate, to see lower boost?

i assume ur talking about the actuator. if the actuator there's a c-clip that holds a bar onto a paddle off the actuator with a 10mm nut. Loosen the nut, take c-clip off (b carefull those things tend to grow wings sometimes), extend the bar to desired pressure for the actuator to open and put bar back on clip it and tighten nut. Don't know the exact pressure's per turn of the bar but on mine i'd set take it for a ride and adjust from there.

I apologize I mean't actuator, and there is a threaded area on the rod. Assuming that's where the adjustment can be done. But I'll have to take a picture and post it to get a better understanding of your explanation. By the way, what do you mean by "grow wings"?

Also, is extending the rod/bar decrease boost, while shortening it increases boost, correct? Thanks again

correct. the shorter= more boost the longer=less

Yes u r correct. I meant the the clip tends to be easily lost if not careful when pulling it off. It seems sometimes like the fucker will grow wings and fly somewhere where you can't find it.

I'm assuming its the HKS adj. actuator.
anyone know where to find the replacement locking c-clip?
I'm still playing with my boost setting on mine, I'm sure i will loose mine with my kind of luck

I see, that is funny lol. What does the c-clip lock anyway?

It keeps it from popping out side ways

I see, you mean preventing the rod from moving sideways?

haha yep :P

ya if the rod pops off then you will have no boost pressure.

if your car is as stock as you claim....you are heat soaking the shit out of your side mount with 14psi...11-12 is really the max the little bastard likes to take

i totally agree. t25's don't like it when you push a bar with them.

I'll be getting an fmic soon for sure, and a s15 t28 turbo to follow. Also when I looked at the actuator arm, there doesn't seem to be a screw where I can adjust the rod. Even though the rod/arm has a threaded area. hmm??
