its coming time for some new spark plug wires so just called my local dealer yesterday and they quoted me $109 for a set ... does anyone have any 1st hand experience with the aurora 8.5mm wires from pdm-racing ($50)? i know pdm is an excellent site with great products and i do not think of them as offering inferior products to fellow 240 enthusiats. i just can't get myself to spend $100 instead of $50 for a part that won't really make that much of a difference. and yea i've been on here long enough to hear everyones praise on how to stick with NGK OEM wires and i'd love to, but my budget says otherwise... hell even at advance auto parts the NGK wires are just under $100. thanks

i've searched and found the post about the rubber boot coming detached from the actual connectors, but thats the only complaint i've seen and there was a lot of positive feedback about them in that post as well.

yeah i'm in the same situation as you.
actually i've heard they are fairly nice and the only complaint i've heard is bout the rubber boot?... can u explain that cause i dont get it.. it's not like spark plug wires are under a lot of stress?

the connectors tend to clamp on to the spark plugs pretty hard, and when you pull the boot/wire out, the connector likes to stay clamped on to the plug while the boot likes to detatch. :o That's what happened to one of mine.

Me too, had to cut all 4 boots and re-crimp them 'cause they didn't do it properly at the factory. Pretty friggin' annoying considering how easy it is to crimp properly...

just make sure to twist and then pull right from the bottom of the boot (and squeeze hard)

i got a set of double silicone (sp?) plug wires from autozone for about $35, and they work great, no problems from them yet, and they dont stick or pop out like crappy wires...
