I have seen a few cars with a sheet of alum..in the inside of the radiator w/holes for the fans ..so this piece stops the air and lets it go out where the fans are ..i was wondering if any-1 has this , and what some of u think about it ..i mean you can make one for cheap ..so i was just thinking about it ..

Next time do a search, don't be so naive that this has never been discussed, forum's been around for like 10 years.....

Dude that is so last decade.... Yes it works its about 5% more efficiency for your cooling system and drops the temp 1 degree tops. There was an article about this. Most people have it make it out of cardboard if you want, its just wind.

More important the bottom panel from your bumpter radiator inlet to your radiator is the BEST thing you can do. Cooling efficiency with Altima fans gives it almost close to 20% efficiency with 5-6 degree drop in temp. Most people don't have this as its a little harder to make.

There was a study done on this specifically to nissan, google it.

I think you guys are confused about what he's saying.

He's talking about the e-fan shrouds I think.

The aluminum sheet that goes on the back of the radiator, and the fans attach to it.

Nah I think he is talking about the panel in between the radiator and the bumper. I dunno, his descriptions suck, but yah fan shrouds work too especially with a clutch fan. That is why Yashiro Factory runs clutch fans and shrouds on all their cars. Just a pain when you need to change something....

I think the guy was talking about an aluminum fan shroud specifically built for e-fans.

A shroud between the fans and radiator would render the fans useless. A shroud around the fans against the radiator works fine. If you bothered searching you'd see we discussed this heavily not long ago, not using a shroud at all is also pointless, so having a shroud of any kind is necessary. What you make it out of is your call.
