I have a series 2 RB25DET motor for sale, I bought it to build and put into my 240 but I sold it and am moving on. I am taking a huge loss on this engine, and I need to gone so I can stop looking at it.
Here what I have,
All the stock parts that came with the engine, a few are not there because the guy did a 26 swap including the turbo is gone because i bought a bigger turbo but sold it too.
Engine itself was 500$
I had the engine bored and Honed as SK SPEED
Crank polished and balanced
rods honed and checked 340$
N1 Oil pump for 250$
Mahle Pistons 616$ shipped
GTR rods 100$
ACL race bearings 100$
OEM Gasket kit 150$
receipts for almost all of it.
Head decked and cleaned and new valve seals put in 200$
Thats over 2000$ right there!!
Not including all the travel time and gas and stuff.
I am going to sell this setup for 1200$ plus shipping, I will take offers on it too, I really don't need it anymore.
I am on Long Island, anyone can come pick it up.
The engine is apart except for the crank is in it and torqued down it spins just like it should, you could always back the bolts off and re-torque it.
The pistons have the rings on them I had them filed to .19 top and .21 bottom, you can get a new set of 6 for 120 dollars from Mahle without a problem.
I had a shop do a full job on the head, they cleaned it and put the new valve seals in it, checked everything and miked it all, put it back together and clearanced the bottom, They owed me a favor so the job was only 200$.
