This is exactly how it went. I realize now that I have made some mistakes so dont ask why.I tried hooking up the z32 maf to the sr20. It will work on the stock computer but a fuel management system is needed. Anyway I was trying to make it work. I switched some wires around, tried to start its, heard a buzzing nose and smelled smoke. Then It wouldnt start anymore. I didnt hear the fuel pump kick on so I thought I shorted out the fuel pump. I bought a new one and relplaced it. It still didnt kick on. Then I found out the ecu was fried. So I went and bought an fc commander for an upgrade since I had to replace it anyway. It will work on the stock setup. I saw that one work on another car. The settings just have to be adjusted. So I put that in and the stock maf back in. I also made sure all the wires were right for the maf. Then I turned the key and the fuel pump came on but didnt go off. So I turned the key even further to start it and I beleive the first time I turned it over I heard a loud noise, a clonk sound (like metal on metal i guess). It came from the motor. The motor didnt completely turn over over though. Then I tried again and nothing happened. I heard the starter engage but it wouldnt turn over at all. I was stuck so I got a friend over and we tried again. I had the key in the on position (fuel pump running) and I was listening for any strang noises around the engine bay. Then I saw gas come out of the mafs. I turned the key back immediately. We pulled off the maf, intercooler, bov and let it air out. After that we pulled the plugs and spun the motor by hand and then with the starter to get all the gas out. Cylinder 3 was full of gas. So I bought another injector assuming that the old one was leaky and that was why the fuel pump wouldnt just prime. I put it on and tested all the injectors w the fuel rail out. Injector 3 wasnt shooting anything. Then after a while of doing some tests with the multimeter it started working magically. Maybe it was clogged or maybe I moved a wire to the right place. So I put everything back in and tried to start it. Everything sounded normal but there was no spark. After trying my ignitor chip on another Sr20 I found out it was bad. I ordered another one and tried to start it again. The fuel pump primed just like normal. I turned the key all the way and I heard it almost start for about a second. Then another clonk clonk from the motor and it died. I think everything revolves around the clonk sound. But what is it? It ran fine before. I also noticed that the cams dont move at all but the crank will move a little wen turning it.
