.. Is fucking awesome. We got our regular cable internet down to $29.99 a month for the past two years or so, but they stopped promos. This month, our promo was up, so they started charging $51 for regular internet, F that.

I called in, got put on hold for 55 minutes and finally started talking to someone. After a bit of haggling, we got our internet back down to $39.99 a month and an upgrade to turbo.

bottom two are regular cable speeds, top one is the turbo speed. F-ing shit! download speeds of 2.5 Mb when downloading from a good server.

anyone else have turbo?

you should be able to get up to 18 on that.

It's all well and good with Turbo at first, realistically the numbers will not be that high if you consume a lot of bandwith (i.e netflix, xbl, or torrents) TW cable will gradually start throttling your speeds.

We get 6 mb here with ATT fiber optic.

AT&T fiber isn't to the house. It's out at the main box on the street. So to the house its good old copper wires. Most of the time AT&T back bone is in bad shape and they fix it rather than put new stuff in.

I have the one under turbo but I might upgrade this month to high speed with turbo boost I didn't know it was this good
