I recently found a non rusty hatch for my 240, the only problem is that it has a wiper. My 240 didnt previously have a wiper, or have any of the switches to operate a wiper.
My question is this: can I just ghetto wire it up to the fuse block to get it to run and install a simple switch to control it, or is there time control unit that is suposed to be attached?
Also, if anyone currently has a wiper hatch, how do you engage it, is there more than one mode? Does anyone have a interior picture showing the button?
If it is not possible to wire it up, I would just take the motor out. Is there a plug that would fit the hole of the wiper i could buy?
That is alot of questions, but thanks in advance for any help

Sorry, I wasnt very clear, I have the wiper and the motor, I just do not know how to wire it up, but thanks for the offer.
Driftin_240sx, does your car have a switch for the rear wiper? what does it do, and where is it.
I took a look at my FSM and it shows an amp on the wiring diagram, as well as a switch with 3(?) different postions(wiper on, wiper and washer on, and washer on)
So now my question is this: Does this amp exist in my non wipered car? If so where is it? or, does the fuse block have enough power to run the motor by itself?

im not sure bout the rigging but im sure u could do it... otherwise there is 2 buttons on the right side next to the steering colum.. and it is a on/off switch and a washer spray thing....

Could u splice the rear wiper motor wires to the front wiper motor wires?

I think I understand what he ws going for. tap a wire into the front wiper amp, but run a seperate switch to the rear wiper.
That said, I looked a little more at my FSM and tried to pinpoint the location of my front or rear wiper amp. I just got back from my car and I am fairly sure that my car does not have a rear wiper amp. but I failed to find the location of the one in front. On the diagram I have, it seems like it is in front of the firewall, but I cannot see it from the engine bay.
I will try to get a camera again and take some pics of the diagram. In the meantime has anyone done any work on the front wipers and found the amp? If its easy to get to I will attempt to wire this up in a couple of weeks and maybe do a writeup. If it requires taking off the dash or something like that I will just say ****it and move on.
