Getting ready to buy a new differential to replacement the completely worn out VLSD on my S14.
Does anyone know (from experience or otherwise).....is it necessary to get realigned after installing a new differential?

i dont think it would mess with your alignment at all. your pumpkins still going to be in the same place and your axles dont effect your alignment as far as i know

you do not need an alignment after installing a diff. end of thread

The only things needed to come off for a diff swap is the propeller shaft, the bolts on the front mounting ears, the bolts on the rear cover, and the bolts/nuts holding the axles to the output flanges.
This is assuming you have a completely pumpking ready to swap in.
So no, the diff swap doesn't need an alignment, but you should periodically do alignments any way.

^ Of course, I am fully up on alignments....I was just wondering if small changes due to shimming can shift the axles a little one way or another, causing changes in toe in the rear.
Thanks guys

Think about what toe is. Then think about where the axle meets the hub.
If anything, you would change the rear track, which can change a bunch of other stuffs as well.
