I recently bought most of the 5 speed swap, however the parts were pretty dirty.

The trans didnt have a shifter, adn there was a bunch of mud in there it seemed, tons of carbon where in flywheel/clutch part of the bellhousing;

But most importanly the clutch disc, pressure plate and flywheel were filthy.

I know id have to get the pressure plate/flywheel resurfaced, but the OEM clutch - do I just use soap and water?

Carb cleaner. If it's worse than that, sandblaster.

Done.

The clutch came with the tranny;

carb clean on the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate AND tranny bell housing?

Thanks btw for the info

The clutch disc can be cleaned with brake cleaner to prevent a residue, but I wouldn't bother with a used disc anyway.
