Some of you may remember my first thread about a 1995 Nissan 240 I came across. The car has 52k on owner miles, but was involved in a flood. I took every precaution when bringing the car back to life. I replaced the diff fluid, tranny fluid and engine oil before even attempting to start the car.
The car was parked on a hill, so the water got the trunk and the floors up to the bottom of the seat cushions. I pulled the all the interior out except for the dash (which was not touched by water, nor was the computer). I cleaned them, disinfected them (you never know what is in the water) and put them back in the car. The car is blue/green and body has no dents or dings in it. While parked, someone dropped some large spots of house paint on the passenger front fender and never cleaned it up. I don't know if it can be removed or if the fender will need to be repainted. The car was also cosmetically damaged in the rear and the bumper was repainted, but was not done well, so the paint all fell off the rear bumper.
I replaced all 4 tires and the starter as well as tuned the car up. I also replaced the battery. The car drives nicely and cleaned up very well on the inside, but will need some cleanup on the paint/exterior. You can get in this car and drive it across the country if you wanted to. It is absolutely rust free and everything works in it, including the A/C, though I can't get the car to stop blowing heat, even though the compressor runs. Even the power antenna and cruise work on this car. It has never been modded, molested or anything like that.
The only real flaws the car has, IMO, is the seats. It's got black leather interior but the top of the rear seat is cracked because it has set out in the sun it's whole life.
I will try to have pics up tomorrow, so give me some feedback if you're interested in the car. It has a clean title as insurance was never involved in the flood. I want to be very straigh forward with you so you know exactly what you're getting. This car could be worth a lot more money if you have seats and the time to paint it.
I would like to keep it, but it really doesn't suit my needs at this time. I would be interested in trading for a RHD car or an SR20 swaped car, but I don't want to finish anyone's project. I'm throwing out a cash price of $4000 because I would prefer cash, but you guys know what this car could be worth.
