getting a vlsd, just wondering how many miles do you guys have on yours. trying to sorta gauge how long they last. any of you have vlsds that stopped working good? after how many (est.) miles?

Which parts of the VLSD are you concerned about? Typically it's not mileage but maintenance and wear that affects a diff's reliability.
Generally most Nissan R200s are strong up to 500-600 ft-lbs. It's the axles that's the weak link.

Most of them that I have seen/used have 60k+ Miles on them and still work great, I wouldnt see why with proper maintenance they would last 200+K Miles
Also I am talking about S13/S14 Type vlsd's

I've have used r32 vlsd put about 50k on it, still doing it's thang! I haven't been up on my diff fluid changes in 2years. Thanks for reminding me:)

I've sold and installed J30 units with 200k+ on them. Fluid level is the main concern with a diff, a leaking output shaft seal or drain plug are the weak links.

The other issue is they take a bit to warm up.. So you'll be peg legging it for a few seconds..

I have 166k miles on my diff in my Z32. Still locking. I constantly maintain it too.
