I recently got my car back from a shop and they said the power fc is not turning on. Does anybody know how or where i can send the power fc in for repairs? I tried looking around but have no answers. This seems to happen here and there to people who use this system. I'm running a gt35r with supporting mods are there better engine management systems out there that you prefer over the pfc?

Yes.
I highly suggest getting a Haltech E8
When your going to turbos that max out standard Nissan MAF sensors at full efficiency it's time to go up a notch.
There is NOTHING that compares to the Haltech for the price
I have a Plug and Play SR20DET unit - it uses a patch harness, I actually worked with Matt, lead engineer at Haltech and John @ www.RPSport.net to design and work out the kinks on the very first production patch harnesses for the E8 and E11.
YouTube - Haltech Review (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekoWoFoVYHI)
This is what I use on my race/project/weekend car and my friends car which is setup for road racing and drift - he daily drives it and at 12 psi it makes 350 whp on a dyno dynamics with an almost 100% stock SR, just cams and a 50 Trim T turbo.

Haltech 1400+ not including sensors and tune
PowerFC 850 LJetro (Non Map) DJetro (1050) Includes sensors
Nistune 500 (MAFS only)
Piggyback (Emanage) I am selling one with everything you ever need on it 250. Wouldn't suggest going over 300 with this setup.
Steveshadows can remote tune for you on PFC, look up his thread. I can help you with a tune on Emanage, as it already has a pretty good tune on it.

I'll be happy to check the PowerFC for free for you. Im an authorized Apexi Power Tuner dealer. In some cases, depending on who did you wiring, you will have to run a larger gauge power wire to your ECU.
Thanks

Apexi PowerFC FAQ (http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/docs/powerfc-faq/powerfc-faq.htm)
This will help out a lot. The PowerFC has been used in Japan on Nissan for years, it is a very successful engine management system. The problem is finding a someone who has experience installing and tuning.
When it gets warmer and you can work on your car, give me a call I will be happy to walk you thru some quick tests and install tips.
