View Full Version : Problem with my new S14

Picked up an S14 from a friend after he wrecked it, and so I pulled off the messed up body panels. I went to go start the car just for shits and giggles, and to my surprise, it wouldn't start. Obviously it ran when he wrecked it, and the airbags didn't deploy (wasn't a super serious wreck). Its getting spark and compression seems good... and I could have sworn I smelled fuel but I could have been wrong. When I put the key in the run position in my DD S14, the relays turning on are fairly loud... but I don't hear any on the project S14. Also, the wipers aren't working.
Could the Impact Sensor have anything to do with this?

if it pinched any wires it could have grounded the wires out and popped some fuses

Ahh... Didn't think of that. Also, can anyone tell me wtf is up with this?

Pics are too small.
The airbag module has nothing to do with any other circuit in the car.

The last row of fuses ( FL 100A, FL 75A, FL 40A, A/C, Audio, Alt S) and also the wire which is bolted down (alternator + wire?) is completely missing like it was never there from the factory, which I find absurd.

Um, damn. You need that. Are there any cut wires in the fusebox?

Nope. None that I could tell, at least. Thing is, he hasn't been under the hood since he wrecked it, so I'm puzzled.
I guess I'll just yank the motor and auto tranny, swap in my 5 speed, and my harnesses and fuse box.
