I recently replaced my whole clutch system by my mechanic. Now the clutch pedal works fine and all, but it feels kinda soft. It seems as though they had replaced that spring to a lighter one. Is there any possible way to stiffen the clutch pedal without replacing the spring? I'm not too god with cars, so the simpler the better. Thanks

oh yea, sometimes if I drive the car hard, I can feel it grind.

Any help would be greatly appreciated =)

I actually typed a post with nearly the EXACT same title phrase... :) you can probably find it if you search.
In any case, you more likely than not just have some air in your clutch lines; you'll want to go ahead and bleed that.

Bleeding the clutch lines is a 2-person job, though, you need one person under the car (passenger side, near where the transmission mates to the engine) to open and close the bleeder screws, and you'll need one person in the car pushing and releasing the clutch.

There are no "springs" (as far as I know) in the clutch system, and from your symptoms, the above would be my best guess. If you really don't feel confident, buy a Chiltons manual or something like that (A Factory Service Manual or "FSM" would be ideal, but these cost around $70 while chiltons' are like $25) for your car, and find out how to bleed the clutch... if you're still unsure, bring it back to the shop that replaced your clutch system, and tell them that you think they let some air into the lines, and that you want them to bleed it for you (free of charge, ideally.) ... Good luck!
