Different, for sure, but I totally dig it.

I like how well the gauge pod up top came out. It looks like it could be a factory option. Nothing janky about this at all. Plus, the color scheme is rad.

Paint is pretty wild for me, like a lot of people have said, but I think it was done really well, so that helps. Love the molding and the boost controller/turbo timer placement, I would love to have something like that!

I think this could end up looking very nice depending on the car. Fully gutted white interior with this dash as a center piece would really set it off.

You're going to have to be careful not cracking the fiberglass when you reinstall it.

I've been workign on this damn dash for a month now, an hour or two here and there. Yesterday I painted the first coat of 2K about 8am and then blocked it around 10 and 2k again about 11am and finally sanded it will 400 at 2PM. By the time I got done paintign the dash it was about 3am this morning and 17 degrees!!!! so I dont have pictures installed but the headliner and some other peices are getting plaid material...


The whole dash itself was hard in general. It wasnt as if you needed mad skills just patience and determination. My brother always sees me fiberglassing things, he comes and says I'm building a box. Starts it and then it sits for months and I finish it...
I used some hard styrofoam from wally world to cuts out my holes on the boost controllers and timer and glassed over that. I could have created a much cleaner dash but I didnt want to clear the dash or leave it all white or red for the fact that it would blind me.
The paint/tap was - 200
fiberglass matt/resign - 100
Evercoat Rage Gold - 45
Sandpaper 80/120/320/400 - 35
So about 400 TO BUILD IT!!!!!!! there is no way you could sell one off dashes because price would have to be around 800 for the work put in...

I ran into the problem of not have the PVC tubes not running all the way back like I wanted so I had to use matt to make it look the way I wanted. And yes I said PVC but you cant tell it NOW!

The weight I dont know for sure but I ket the filler below 1/8" thick and 2 layers of matt on weak areas so I dont think it gained but 4-5 pounds over stock.

It was designed using van halen scheme but his are more abstract with base coat blending it with the lines more so than what I laid out...

Its a paint job you either love or hate, I'm always building shiat clean. Take a look at some of my other things.
