Always use the best you can afford. The car gods will smile kindly on you.

For maintenance work - nothing beats genuine OEM Nissan parts. Those are the best performing for what you are doing. Some like to buy fat wires, but unless you are heavily tuned, they are unlikely to help. Some like fancy plugs - which never seem to matter on the dyno. Dist cap/rotor - the only choices are Nissan or "other."

I've been recomended to stick with the stock plugs, unless my car had serious work done to it. The cheepsest I could find my stock plugs for are about $10 a pop. Their NGK, so they've got to good. I replaced my stock wires with NGK as well, they don't give you any more hp, but the car deffinately runs smoother. I also did an oil change at the same time so that too had something to do with the smoothness. I say deffinately stay stock with the parts HippoSleek was refering to.

Depends on what plugs come from Nissan. The NGK is used to use were ok, but there was a considerable amount of better pull through 4000 to 4500 rpm when I switched to Bosch Platinum +4's.
