Installed the Kenwood DDX712 in the 240. Pretty slick shit I must say.

How does your iPod feature work?

Does it have a hole to plug in a cable or what?

I has full functionality for both Ipod audio and/or video via usb interface. Just need the appropriate cable. Which the fact that it is not included, is the only downfall of this model. The Clarion I replaced with this was able to utilize the original Ipod cable and merely plug into the usb cable/port wich this one requires its own propriatary cable.

My double DIN has no room to plug anything in.

Does it go in the back or something?
have to route the wiring through the dash or something?

Has a usb cable that comes out the back and is long enough to route all over the place.

Most modern ones do. They are usually a foot or so long.

Nice headunit. I have a kenwood A/V unit as well w/ the ipod cable. Just an FYI, the Ipod touch does not work w/ the video.

The new 2009 Kenwood models do work correctly with the iPhone and iPod video.

Mine arrived today, I got the DNX-6140.

your head unit has the ipod capability bh, you need to buy the ipod accessory kit which is like 50 bucks or so.

so its like my friend's panasonic strada double din unit. he had to buy a separate ipod cable for ipod connection. looks good by the way

yup you are correct. Having to purchase a cable is the only drawback over the Clarion(s) I have replaced with this unit. Otherwise, it tops thm along with the others I have used/played with.
