No ABS. Most of our cars don't have ABS anyway. Even the ones that do, i don't see how it would be beneficial for drifting in any way.

It can be - there are tons of times when you mess up and you straighten out and need to stop ASAP before you hit something.
Problem is, ABS in 240's is not that good. It can really screw you up if it does something unexpected (like if you're expecting it to bail you out and it doesn't), and it doesn't work well once you upgrade the calipers (z32 swap is a good idea).
So yeah, not many of us run it.

so if i get a car with abs, i should take it out or swap it with one without ABS?

I have an s14 with ABS and 4 piston AP Racing calipers with stock master cylinder and it works perfectly. I would take ABS over non ABS any day if it's working properly. For drifting I don't know, but for road racing its great.
You are supposed to threshold brake, if you have ABS it'll signal to you that you have gone passed that threshold. If you did not have ABS there would be no signs of tires locking up except tires screeching and smoking but by then it could already be too late and you could have flat spotted your tires already.
ABS IS AWESOME DON'T TAKE IT OUT UNLESS ITS NOT WORKING RIGHT :D
