1993 Fastback SE, 160k miles - Looking for $3500 for EVERYTHING!!
Super deal, all you need is a tranny or it will make an excellent donor car for all parts, including interior.

Serious inquiries only, please! If interested, please contact me via PM or e-mail. If you want to talk, PM/e-mail your cell or I can give you mine.

Exhaust

The Good:
-The chassis is in good shape and the interior is in very good condition for its age (non-cracked dash). I even have the trunk cover! I’ve owned the car since 90k miles.
-Compression was 145ish (cold) across the board when I bought the motor in August. Installed it in late September ‘08.
-T28 spools up great and spins very freely. I can hear the turbine spinning for about 5 seconds even after the car is idled, cooled, and shut off.
-Reliable setup (until the tranny went). I never had any overheating or cooling issues. I drove up to San Jose from Palmdale twice and once from SJ to SD with no problems whatsoever. Driven a handful of round trips from Palmdale to SD, no issues.

The Bad:
-dented front passenger fender
-Old lady in SUV backed into me and now there is a huge dent in the driver quarter panel (might be able to pull out, but I'm not sure)
-Bad tranny. Bearing gave out and I don’t have time to find a replacement.

Long story short:
I moved away to Palmdale from SD for a job and don’t have storage space for the car. I currently work 54hr/week and this was my commuter car and I need another one quick so I can get to and from work. I don’t have time to look for a tranny or space/storage to do the swap. Looking for quick sale or possible trade.

Serious inquiries only, please! If interested, please contact me via PM, e-mail. Can give cell # if needed.

As a very last resort, I might consider parting out, but I will have to figure out the logistics. If interested in a part-out, please PM so I can gauge interest.

On to the pictures! A few pics before the swap and pics from when I was in Big Bear mid-Jan. Sorry for the lame pictures, it's all I could find and my camera is broken.

SPOTLESS engine bay before the swap (late september 08)

CLEAN CLEAN motor!

Refinishing the valve cover.. polished lettering FTW!

Unfortunately, the only pictures of the S13 I have are ones with my friends putting snow on my car at Big Bear :D. If you look closely, you can make out the passenger fender dent and driver quarter panel damage.

Notice the wheel's offset...Not inset like the +35 or flush like the +15.. I'm not too sure on the offset so I'm guessing somewhere in between... maybe +20 or +25

Nice car.

As far as the quarter panel goes, you can try popping it out by heating it up and pushing on it from the inside. Not much blocking your way in that area other than the plastic panel.

Good luck.

To answer a few PM's:
Any electrical problems?
No electrical gremlins here. Door locks, power windows, etc all work fine. Although the brake light comes on now and then, but that's because of the passenger sidemarker.. the bulb sits loose in the socket. It could use a new sidemarker if that bothers you.

Is it driveable even with the bad tranny?
No sir, it will have to be towed. I can possible arrange for towing if you are in the immediate area.. (LA/San Bernadino county)

Can I work with pricing?
I prefer someone to take it all. In fact, you can buy it and make your money back and then some by parting it out.. I'd do it, but I don't have time. If you are serious, I can take some parts out to lower the price. I might ahve a few things laying around that I can throw in to sweeten the deal, like some Race USA FRP overfenders.. (is that possible? ;-) ) Please PM.

Thank you all for your time and for looking.

Amir - Yo man! Yeah.. unfortunately I have to sell it... I have no time for a project car anymore with work and my current living situation.. I can't even go down to SD to hang anymore! On my only day off (Sunday), I do laundry and errands.. then the week starts all over again.. lol. I miss college!

NISMOTUNEDZ and turtle m3th - Sorry, I am no longer accepting trades. I really needed a car by this weekend and I was hoping I could get a trade done.. in retrospect, it was an unrealistic expectation to have all that done in a day or two.. sorry. Yesterday, I went out and signed my life away for another car so I will no longer be accepting trades. I still need to sell the car asap though, as I have no room for storage. PM me if you are still interested.

To all - I know I have more pictures of the dent and I have to dig through my computers. I'll will post them up tomorrow after work. And just to clarify, the car is located in Palmdale. Thanks!

Questions regarding the Gauge set-up and interior condition/pics
Gauge is located in the lower din. I cut out an black acrylic panel to hold the gauges. As for the interior, there are no cracks on the dash. Left bolster tear on the driver side and a tear in the carpet next to the driver's knee. The interior isn't perfect, but it isn't an eye-sore either. All the trimmings and plastic are in pretty good condition as well. I'll try to have pictures up later this week.

Audio/Stereo
I have a pioneer deck that works great with polk audio 6.5" 2-ways in each door, and a 10" Polk audio sub in a small box enclosure. However, the amp died out on me and I haven't had a chance to replace it. The old amp was a 4-channel.. 1 channel to each and 2 bridged to the sub. A 4 channel replacement would be ideal. The stereo worked great before the amp gave out. I have no doubt that it would work just as well with another 4 channel.

Dent picture close-up
Friends/co-workers have looked at this dent and everyone seems to say they have a "guy" that can pull it out.. others say it can't be done. Personally, I think it can be pulled out.. maybe not perfect, but it definitely don't look like an elephant kicked the quarter panel, that's for sure. Here are pics for you to decide for yourself:

Availability
I am available to show the car with a day's advance notice. I hope to sell the car by Friday.. as I will be going out of town on Sat. Feb 21st for work and don't anticipate to get back until the 26th or 27th. If it doesn't get sold by then, I will not be available to show or answer questions for the week I am gone.

There are no problems with closing the door and sealing. I've driven in rain and washed it many times since it was hit and no problems.
