just cause it has a rod knock doesnt mean the engine needs replaced, you could replace bottum end bearings and it could take care of it, but that is depending on severity of the knock i just might have to fly out there and get this myself . . . . .

yeah its a hard rebuild tho, the dealerships and honda dont wanna deal with it, they wanna sell u a whole new block, My friend rebuilt his tho, he had a spun bearing, and it took a good 3 weeks, he was being extremly careful to have everything right.

Not trying to off your thread or kill your sale, but if the engine has even slight rod knock, there is likely sleeve damage, which means resleeving the f20.
just about any reputable shop who deals with s2k's on a regular basis will tell you that even without rod knock, you pretty much have to resleeve the motor on every rebuild because of how it was designed.
You want a 9k redline stock, you pay the price.
and yes, i used to own one.

the first thing i had done when i bought this car was sleeve the engine.
^not trying to kill ur thread but its really confusin
how do u sleeve ur engine...???
why did u sleeve it???
wat compression do u have???
im a noob so correct me if im wrong
sleeeve is not somthing u can put on its actual block...the inner cylinder wall
shop doesnt wanna deal cuz..if its not too bad u could horn it
but if its bad enough u have to get it resleeve so thers no garantee
...now ...depending on the damage u might have to deal with compression...u know it.. knock mean something broke so gotta replace that ring......and etc...
If you can hone it out great, otherwise you can bore and use oversized pistons (OEM do 0.1mm oversized I think).
Any thing more than that and you really have to sleeve.
