90 240sx hatch with redtop sr20det

here is what went down, we where driving home one night and the car started running really crappy, got home and he turned the car off and everything turned off (window would not roll up etc..) so he started the car back up and still nothing would work but the head lights and the motor still runs like poop, not even the rpm gauge works.. the motor will start up but the running lights, turn lights, etc will not turn on????? cant figure it out and need zilvia to help  thanks for any info.

Do This!!!!!

-check any large plugs, the fattest ones are the power supply and main ground wires.

-take your engine bay relay/fuse boxes and pull the backs off of them (bottom). you should see a fat (i think white) wire. thats your main power supply wire. you should see that wire split into a metal rail that supplys the power to all fuses/ relays. get your volt meter/test light and stick it into this wire to check for your 12 volts, if there is no voltage (which there probably isnt), trace that wire back to find you problem. if you want, you can also hook up your 12volt source(battery) straight to that wire and everything should turn on. make sure you dont hook it to ground

-i would check your ignition plug (with thick red blue green yellow white wires) located under your steering colum, one of the wires controls acc, check it.
