hah, ask your parents, get a loan! this is a very reliable car. That's why I got and that's the way I've kept it. The point was a reliable daily that didn't look and handle like garbage.

I am looking for CLEAN chasis. "Frame rail" dents, minor rad support damage, bondo, major pinch weld damage (not THAT important), or pretty much any damage on the chasis is unacceptable to me. Minor dings/dents on the body are to be expected. To tell you the truth I would vastly prefer it if it had the factory paint. I'm picky. Also are the subframe bushings the full aluminum replacements or just the cheapie collars?

Thanks for the clarification. Frame rails are clean, unibody is all connected properly and as untweaked as an unstitched, uncaged s13 can be. There's no bondo or major damage to anything. That being said, this isn't a show car, and will probably never be one, it's just a decent reliable daily. If you're obsessive, it's not pristine, you probably wouldn't be happy. If it were, I'd be asking more =)

thanks drifti

donesy and austin, you've got mail.

no more pictures for now. If I take more you guys will be the first to know.

I'm looking to build a track car out of it, that's why I am only really concerned with a clean chasis and no bondo. Dings, small dents, scratches, and whatnot don't really matter to me. I'll be honest though I have seen SR cars with better overall mods lists going for $4k so I really don't think you could ask any more for the car for any reason other then an engine swap. What I REALLY like about the car is the SSS diff. That is the shit!

Thanks racepar, yeah the diff is definitely the best bit on the car. I'll explain my decision to everyone. I don't want to come across as argumentative, and I only say this because it's the internet and everyone assumes everyone else is being a jerk, and basically you and I seem to be on the same page.

This is the reason I'm asking what I am without an sr swap: Most sr swaps (maybe not all, but I haven't seen one) that you see for around this price are...well the devil is in the details of a swap. If it's some kid who did it themselves, or a less than meticulous shop then you end up with a gremlin prone s-chassis with a million small problems, usually electrical or old hoses with pinhole leaks that are a pain to trouble shoot and sort out. I'm not just blowing this out my rear, I've seen both excellent well thought out and prepped work, as well as junkyard specials that are constantly just ahead of the next failure. 240s are now targeted by police along with many other imports, many law enforcement patrols carry or have access to flash cards with stock engine configurations. SR swaps can get you ref tickets, impound, or worse depending on the situation and the reason you were pulled over. I am an excellent law abiding driver, it's still not worth the stress for me and isn't responsible for me to drive something that could by nothing more than chance (wrong place wrong time wrong officer) cost me thousands in fines and/or lost work.

This car is the car I purchased after being tired of getting pulled over and/or chasing all the issues of a modified car. I just wanted something simple and reliable that still looked good but wasn't a magnet for thugs, thieves or police. My mod list shows that other than a bit of suspension, everything I've done on this car is about minimizing possible issues and keeping everything as simple as possible. I know a lot of people out there have had their fill of poorly maintained or electrically finicky 240s as I have. I've built this car to have the reliability I need to be a responsible adult, but still have enough fun bits to stave off boredom and look decent. This car is solid.

Racepar1: I don't mean this as an insult or negative at all, but from the conversation so far, I don't think this is the car for you. If you just want a sss, you should hit up Dousan, he's selling the sister to this diff for an amazing price here:

I want a coupe with a silvia front, I'm sick of my fastback. If I did buy the car you would barely recognize it in a month! LOL!

Hi berz, sorry I'm a little confused by your post. But if your friend has the money then you're welcome to come look at the car!

kouki: thanks for the encouragement

Thanks everyone, I'm really impressed by the response that I've gotten. I've already had a couple people look at the car today who are willing to pay full price, just waiting on funds. This is encouraging because normally when I've sold cars everyone lowballs me and never shows up and then the first person to actually see the car buys it on the spot for the price I ask. This time people seem to get the picture: I'm not here to fuck around, I've done this before, I'm here to sell a car, let's do this.

Ok, i've got so many emails, pms and voicemails going on it's hard to keep track of who's coming today, and who's rescheduling. Anyone who was interested in seeing the car today, I'm free for the rest of the day, give me a call.

Thanks everyone for the great response. I've been inundated with interest. So, if I haven't gotten back to you yet feel free to messege or email me again because it might have gotten lost in the shuffle. Thanks again!

PS: it has come up a couple times so I'm going to mention it here. I'm not holding the car for anyone based on "dibs"; If you really need to hold the car to get money from the bank, parents, girlfriend whatever, I will hold the car for 48 hours with a non-refundable deposit and we will both sign a contract to that effect. After that the car is up for grabs again and I keep the deposit (if the person I take the deposit from is still the person who brings money first it will still be put towards the selling price). I'm not a jerk, I just don't want to waste your time or mine so money seems like a good method of making sure people are serious.

I'd rather not, but if you brought $800 and waited for me to swap it, or swap it yourself, then I'd be hard pressed to turn you down. =)
