Hey Everyone! Well, the fulltrack is over for the time being so now's the time to focus on the 2009 ThunderDrift skidpad competition series!

February 21/22 will be POINTS EVENT NUMERO UNO!

Saturday = Practice (regular TD event, open to everyone)

Sunday = Competition (Similar to other skidpad comps you've been to before, we'll have practice in the morning and the competition in the afternoon)

Here are the pertinent details on how the points-series is going to work:

1st = 100 points
2nd = 90 points
3rd = 85 points
4th = 80 points
5th = 75 points
6th and on will get 50 points just for participating. This should keep the competition tight, and reward everyone just for showing up!

This means there will be 600 available points in the series (if you win all 6 rounds). Remember folks, the more you participate, the better your chances of winning.

What's at stake? LOTS of stuff.

- prizes/trophies for the top finishers in each event

- MAJOR prize/trophy for winning the series

- The ability to compete in (and win?) NorCal's ONLY amateur-drifting points series.

Event entry is $100, $40 of which is due in advance to secure your spot.

IF YOU DON'T PRE-REGISTER, ENTRY FEE IS $130. (REG CAN BE COMPLETED AT ThunderDrift.com ~ The Nor-Cal Driftspot! (http://WWW.THUNDERDRIFT.COM))

If you want information on tech inspection parameters, registration, and any other aspects of the event, check out www.thunderdrift.com (http://www.thunderdrift.com). If you still have questions, please don't hesitate to call or email me. My contact info is: [email protected] ~ 530.559.2554

thanks for the tip, I'll repost there.

This event is held at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, CA. It's a little over an hour north of sac. More like 2-3hrs from the bay depending on what part you come from.

It's convenient coming from socal though, we're only 7 miles west of I-5.
